Steven Spielberg is an American film director, producer and screenwriter.
Spielberg is known as the pioneer of the “summer blockbuster” after his massive juggernaut box office hit “Jaws”(1975)
His debut feature film “Duel” (1971) followed some TV work and he has gone on to direct 38 motion pictures to date. Some are better than others.
His production companies Amblin Entertainment, Dreamworks Pictures and Dreamworks Animation have given us some truly amazing stuff.
Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, An American Tail, Back to the Future, Gremlins, Poltergeist, The Goonies, Who Framed Rodger Rabbit… the list goes on. All stuff that was not directed by Speilberg but he used his money and influence to help usher them into existence.
So if you add up all of Spielberg's good movies and add them to all the amazing stuff his production companies made he has had a truly epic career.
I'm super worried that he is remaking “Bullitt” with Bradley Cooper as Frank Bullitt… eeek
