Willem Dafoe has been honoured with his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Willem is one of my favourite actors and this news really made me smile when it popped up on my social media feed.
Guests Patricia Arquette and Pedro Pascal spoke at the dedication of the 2,768th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Dafoe attended with his wife, film director Giada Colagrande.
Willem is a bold, daring, immensely talented and incredibly versatile actor who has appeared in over 100 films and documentaries.
Willem has a unique look and does tend to play complex/villainous characters.
He is probably most famous for playing Norman Osborn aka The Green Goblin in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman & Spiderman 2 but Dafoe has been acting in films since 1980 and has managed to appear in some of the best cinema made over the last 40 years.
The directors in his filmography reads like a who’s who of some of the best there has ever been.
Michael's Cimino, Kathryn Bigelow, Tony Scott, Walter Hill, William Friedkin, Oliver Stone, Martin Scorsese, Alan Parker, John Waters, David Lynch, John Milius, Paul Schrader, Wim Wenders, Abel Ferrara, David Cronenberg, Sam Raimi, Robert Rodriguez, Wes Anderson, Lars von Trier, Spike Lee, Werner Herzog, Anton Corbijn, Sean Baker, Kenneth Branagh, Robert Eggers, Guillermo del Toro, Yorgos Lanthimos.
He is great and I hope he continues to get all the work he wants for as long as he wants.
